Corporate & Partnership Tax Compliance
Annual federal and state returns for operating entities and their owners, prepared from a reconciled trial balance rather than a box of receipts in March.
Any competent firm can prepare a return. The difference shows in when the work happens. A firm that starts in February is reporting on decisions that were made without it; a firm that starts in October is still able to influence the outcome it will eventually report.
Our tax practice runs on a published calendar. Books are reconciled before tax work begins, projections are refreshed quarterly against actual results, and the planning conversation happens while there is still time to act on it. By the time a return is drafted, you have already seen every number in it.
Multi-state exposure is where most private companies are quietly wrong, usually because a remote hire or a marketplace threshold created an obligation nobody was watching for. We map the footprint from source data at onboarding, price the exposure honestly, and clean it up before a state asks.
Where a position is aggressive, we say so. Where a credit does not qualify, we say that too. Our fees are never contingent on a refund, which means the advice you get is the advice we would give ourselves.
Most engagements draw on two or three of these at once. Each has its own page describing scope, deliverables and process.

Remote work rewrote the map. We determine where you actually have obligations, quantify the exposure, and clean up the states that are already behind.
Quarterly projections against real results, written recommendations with the benefit quantified, and decisions made while there is still time to act on them.
Qualification assessment, credit computation and a documentation file built to the standard an examiner will apply, not a spreadsheet and a hope.
We hold the power of attorney, take the correspondence, and manage the examination from the opening letter to the closing agreement.
Nothing here is unusual. It is simply done earlier than most firms manage, which is what makes it work.
October to January
Tax work begins from a clean trial balance. Anything that would be a March surprise is found in November while it can still be corrected properly.
Four times a year
Estimates recalculated against actual results, not rolled forward from a safe harbour that stopped being safe in the second quarter.
June to December
Written recommendations with the benefit quantified and a deadline attached, signed off by you so there is a record of what was decided.
Ahead of the deadline
Returns drafted from numbers you have already seen, and a closing meeting that is entirely about next year.
The diagnostic is two weeks and a fixed fee. You get a written read on what looks right, what looks exposed, and what we would change.
