No professional advice
Nothing on this website is tax, accounting, legal or investment advice. The content here is general information about services, published for a wide audience, and it cannot account for your circumstances.
Tax and accounting outcomes turn on specific facts, and the rules change. Do not act, or refrain from acting, on the basis of anything published on this site without engaging a professional to consider your particular situation.
No client relationship
Reading this website, submitting the inquiry form or exchanging preliminary correspondence does not create a client relationship. A relationship exists only once both parties have signed a written engagement letter describing the scope, the deliverables and the fee.
Until that letter is signed, we owe you no professional duty, and information you send us is not protected by the confidentiality that attaches to an engagement.
Accuracy and currency
We take care to be accurate, but tax law, accounting standards and filing deadlines change frequently and content here may be out of date by the time you read it.
- Filing dates shown are federal dates for calendar-year filers and may not apply to you
- State and local rules differ, sometimes substantially, and are not covered here
- Descriptions of services are summaries, not statements of engagement scope
Intellectual property
The content, design and code of this website are the property of O’Brien & Co. CPAs, P.C. You may read, print and share pages for your own reference. You may not republish, sell or use the content commercially without written permission.
Third-party links
Where we link to another organization, such as a taxing authority, a professional body or a software provider, we do so for convenience. We do not control those sites, we do not endorse their content, and we are not responsible for what they publish or how they handle your information.
Limitation of liability
To the fullest extent permitted by Massachusetts law, O’Brien & Co. CPAs, P.C. is not liable for any loss arising from use of this website or reliance on its content. This limitation does not affect the terms of any signed engagement letter, which govern the services we actually perform for you.
Governing law
These terms are governed by the laws of the Commonwealth of Massachusetts. Any dispute arising from this website is subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the state and federal courts located in Suffolk County, Massachusetts.
