A close that lands
on the same day every month.

Full-cycle accounting run by a named team, covering transactions, reconciliations, close and reporting, with a controller-level review before anything leaves the building.

At a glance

Day-to-day accounting, month-end close by the tenth business day, balance sheet reconciliations, AP and AR workflow, and a monthly reporting package reviewed by a controller.

Who this suits
  • Companies whose bookkeeper left, retired or was never quite right
  • Businesses closing later than the fifteenth, or not closing at all
  • Owners who cannot answer a lender question without three days of work
  • Companies growing past the point where one person can hold it together
  • Anyone who has found the same reconciling item carried forward for a year

Late books are not an accounting problem. They are a decision problem.

A company that closes in week six is always making decisions on numbers that are six weeks stale, which is long enough for a pricing problem or a margin slip to become expensive. The books are rarely wrong on purpose. They are simply behind, and behind compounds.

We take the whole cycle: transaction coding, bank and credit card reconciliation, accounts payable and receivable workflow, payroll journal entries, prepaid and accrual schedules, fixed asset registers, and the close itself. The target is the tenth business day, and we publish where we are against it.

Every close is reviewed by a controller before it is issued. That review is the part most outsourced bookkeeping arrangements are missing, and it is the reason their statements need rebuilding before a bank will look at them.

We work in your system rather than moving you onto ours by default: QuickBooks Online, Xero, Sage Intacct or NetSuite. If the chart of accounts needs rebuilding to produce statements anyone can read, we will say so and quote that once, at the start.

Deliverables

What arrives
each month.

A fixed monthly fee based on transaction volume and entity count. No hourly surprises for a question in July.

Transaction processing

Coding, classification and entry across bank, card, merchant and payroll feeds, on a weekly cadence rather than a monthly scramble.

Balance sheet reconciliation

Every account reconciled and supported each month, not only cash. Reconciling items are cleared, not carried.

AP and AR workflow

Approval routing, payment runs, collections follow-up and an aging report that reflects reality.

Month-end close

Accruals, prepaids, deferred revenue, fixed assets and intercompany entries, closed by the tenth business day.

Reporting package

Profit and loss, balance sheet, cash flow and a short written commentary on what moved and why.

Controller review

A licensed controller signs off on the package before issue. Questions come to you once, in a single list.

How it runs

Onboarding,
then a rhythm.

The first sixty days are the hard part. After that the month is genuinely routine, which is the entire point.

01

Diagnostic and clean-up

Weeks one to four

We assess the current file, quantify the clean-up, and reconcile the opening balances before taking over. The clean-up is quoted separately and once.

02

System and workflow build

Weeks four to eight

Chart of accounts, approval routing, document capture and the close checklist, all documented so the process does not live in one person’s head.

03

First closes

Months two and three

We run the close alongside you, then take it over entirely. Target dates tighten as the file stabilizes.

04

Steady state

Ongoing

Close by the tenth, package issued, quarterly review with a manager, and an annual reset of the reporting to match how the business has changed.

Stop closing
in week six.

Send us read-only access to the current file. We will tell you what the clean-up costs before you commit to anything.
